The development of a comprehensive, integrated solid waste management plan was identified as a strategy in the Lincoln-Lancaster County 2040 Comprehensive Plan (LPlan 2040). The Solid Waste Management Plan (Solid Waste Plan 2040) will be a guidance document, communication tool, and a resource for policy decisions. The Public Works and Utilities Department and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department will facilitate the development of the Solid Waste Plan 2040. The planning process for Solid Waste Plan 2040 includes numerous opportunities for public participation and involvement.
