This board reviews complaints concerning police procedures and policies. It makes recommendations on discipline and policy based on these reviews.
The commission focuses on issues important to women and on barriers which prevent women from making choices in their lives. Members are appointed by the Mayor.
Special Requirements: Must be residents of Lincoln.
This committee arranges program schedules for international visitors to Lincoln, as requested by national agencies. Members schedule professional appointments, community experiences, and home hospitality for leaders or potential leaders from various countries.
The mission of this citizens' advisory committee is to identify issues and recommend policies and strategies that enhance and support the full and equal partnership of people of diverse racial, cultural, economic, gender and disabled groups in city government and Lincoln community affairs.
Special Requirements: Members are representative of Lincoln's diversity and include one City Council member.
The Relocation Assistance Appeal Board meets as needed to hear appeals by persons who believe the City of Lincoln has failed to properly determine the person's eligibility for, or the amount of, payment for relocation assistance.
Special Requirements: Members include the City Attorney, City Finance Director, City Planning Director and two citizens.
This Board acts as the final review panel regarding contested procurements issued by Lincoln City government.
Special Requirements: 3 representatives of governmental or quasi-governmental purchasing professionals. The other 2 are citizens who have bid on or contracted with governmental entities.
