Comprehensive Plan and Long Range Transportation Plan
The 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) forecasts the City and County's mobility and transportation needs over a twenty-year time horizon and identifies projects that will help address these needs.
On Thursday, November 16, 2006, the Lincoln City Council and Lancaster County Board of Commissioners adopted the Year 2030 Lincoln City-Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan which contains the Long Range Transportation Plan. On Monday, November 27, 2006, Lincoln Mayor Coleen Seng signed the Council's resolution to officially conclude the City of Lincoln's adoption process.
The final step in the Long Range Transportation Plan's (LRTP) overall approval process is the review and adoption of the LRTP by the MPO Officials Committee. An Officials Committee meeting to review and take action on the LRTP has been set for January 4, 2007, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the Mayor's Conference Room of the County-City Building, 555 South 10th Street.
Transportation Improvement Program FY 2007-2009 and 2010-2012
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is an intermediate range planning document that reflects the transportation expenditures that are planned to be spent over the next six-years. Project details are provided, such as, project description, cost, funding source, and funding year. The TIP contains information on a wide array of transportation projects including pedestrian and bicycle facilities; trails projects; transit improvements and operations; transportation related planning studies; Airport Authority and Railroad Transportation Safety District activities; state, county and city road improvements; among others.

Certification Report on the Transportation Planning Process
This is the annual certification review of the Metropolitan Planning Organization planning process to ensure that the planning process is addressing the major issues facing the area and is being carried out in conformance with applicable federal Urban Transportation Planning laws and regulations.

Unified Planning Work Program
The UPWP describes the planning tasks to be undertaken by the MPO during the upcoming fiscal year, and may track the continuation of projects initiated carried over from previous years. The UPWP contains the associated costs and agency involvement required for successfully completing each task.
