Documentation and Income Guidelines for
'Ride for $7.50' Low Income Bus Pass Program

The 'Ride for $7.50' Low Income Bus Pass Program is only for low income people. Proof of income is required when a Pass purchase is made.

Listed below are the most common types of documentation by which an eligibility determination can be made:

  1. Tax return (1040) from previous year.
  2. Pay stub from previous month.
  3. W-2 form from previous year.
  4. Medicaid form.
  5. Kid's Connection.*
  6. WIC (Women-Infants-Children) Folder.*
  7. Linc. Housing Auth. Voucher Program letter with a dollar amount specified.*
  8. Service Point card.*
  9. Letter verifying TANF eligibility.
  10. Letter verifying Food Stamp eligibility.
  11. Head Start or Early Head Start parent.
  12. Free and reduced lunch.
  13. Dated incarceration discharge document; dated within 60 days.
  14. Check/voucher from a social services agency or faith-based organization purchasing a pass on behalf of a client.

Documentation that is not allowable includes:

  1. Linc. Housing Auth. letter without a dollar amount specified.
  2. Food Stamp card by itself.
  3. Work Release documentation.
