Dick currently serves as business manager for ambulance Services with
Lincoln Fire & Rescue. Dick has been Involved in providing EMS care
since 1966. Prior to assuming his current position, Dick was the
Assistant director for Rural Metro Lincoln. In his current capacity
he is responsible for the oversight of business operations for non
emergency ambulance transportation. In addition he is responsible for
logistics and supplies support for both emergency and non emergency
operations.
Dick has been certified as an EMT for more than 34 years.
Dick began his career in ambulance service in the United States Air
Force, where he achieved the rank of Sargent during his 4 years of
service. He then worked as an Adams County Deputy Sheriff/EMT. He
began his Lincoln ambulance career working as an ambulance attendant
for Eastern Ambulance. He completed 21 years of employment with
Eastern Ambulance company/Rural Metro, before coming to work for
Lincoln Fire & Rescue. Dick is a certified Nebraska Law Enforcement
Supervisor. Dick has served the State of Nebraska as a member of the
Ambulance Advisory Board. Dick has attended numerous schools and
conferences related to his career.
