Welcome to Station #10

 

Lincoln Fire & Rescue Station #10 is located at 1440 Adams Street. It was built in September 1965 to respond and protect the citizens of North West Lincoln (Belmont) area. It currently houses a fire engine and brush rig with staffing consisting of four firefighters. Past members dubbed our station ĎThe Lionís Dení. Our emergency response goal is to be on scene in less than four minutes anywhere in our response district. Our stationís call volume for the past five years averages 1,671; however, current trends show this number to be increasing.

District Coverage
Station #10 covers approximately 5.7 square miles and provides protection for a population of 16,693 (average density of 2,929 residents per square mile) not including a Husker football, volleyball, or basketball home game day. Our district currently has 81.67 miles of road with major thoroughfares including: Cornhusker Highway, Interstate 80 and 180, Superior Street, North 14th and 27th Street. Multiple structure types are located in our area with the majority consisting of residential. Schools in our response district include Lincolnís Northstar High School, Campbell Elementary, Goodrich Elementary, and Belmont Elementary. Special structures include the University of Nebraska grounds (Bob Devaney Sports Center, Hendrix Center, Technology Campus), and Zoetis Laboratories.

Serving Our Community
Our crew proudly serves the citizens of Lincoln. When we are not responding to emergencies, our crew has many duties to fill their day. Station and equipment maintenance are performed each day to assure a quick and professional response. Our station performs year around fire prevention. We visit schools, perform business inspections and conduct businesses or high risk area pre-planning for possible emergencies. Our area is also home to many neighborhood and home ownersí associations including Autumn Wood, Belmont, Londonís, and the North Bottoms. Our department members are always eager to assist our community with tips and suggestions to keep your family safe.
