Welcome to Station #2

 

Station #2 is located in the heart of Lincoln Nebraska with a diverse population and a vast array of occupancies, from the University of Nebraska, to several grain elevators, manufacturing, large and small commercial structures as well as single and multi-family dwellings. It is equipped with a 1996 E-One pumper, 2011 Braun medic unit and an emergency light tower.

Station #2 is staffed with six firefighters, that are cross trained to level of EMT-B or Paramedic. They are also trained as haz-mat technicians, and are one of three stations that make up Lincoln Fire’s Hazardous Materials Response Team. Engine #2 responded to 1,603 incidents in 2013, of these 1,129 were medical related, 240 fire related, 127 hazardous material related and 117 special assistance. Medic #2 responded to 3,440 request for assistance.
