Explorer Post #888 participated in a "mock auto" accident with Engine #12's crew, LPD Expolorers, Bryan Hospital Explorers, and Eastern Ambulance Explorers on scene. "Victims" were taken to St. Elizabeth hopsital for treatment by the explorer post under doctor supervision.
|1986 National Fire Explorer Competition held at Boy's Town, Nebraska. Events included a broken hose replacement and relay, a bucket brigade using old leather buckets to fill a barrel from a tank separated 50'. A hose lay of 2 1/2" hose coupling three sections together connecting to a hydrant putting on a nozzle, charging the line and hitting a target. Doning full proctective clothing and self contained breathing apparatus using a three person team, all straps and hooks needed to be fastened, gloves on helmet in place and walk 50'.|
