(Continued from previous page) Explorer Post #888 participated in a "mock auto" accident with Engine #12's crew, LPD Expolorers, Bryan Hospital Explorers, and Eastern Ambulance Explorers on scene. "Victims" were taken to St. Elizabeth hopsital for treatment by the explorer post under doctor supervision.
1986 National Fire Explorer Competition held at Boy's Town, Nebraska. Events included a broken hose replacement and relay, a bucket brigade using old leather buckets to fill a barrel from a tank separated 50'. A hose lay of 2 1/2" hose coupling three sections together connecting to a hydrant putting on a nozzle, charging the line and hitting a target. Doning full proctective clothing and self contained breathing apparatus using a three person team, all straps and hooks needed to be fastened, gloves on helmet in place and walk 50'.
