Lincoln Fire & Rescue has adopted the IFSSTA "Essentials of Firefighting" third edition for its primary training manual. In addition to the Essentials of Firefighting, the Training Division has developed a "Supplement to the Essentials Manual".

The supplement is intended to assist Lincoln Fire & Rescue personnel with additional information, skills, and knowledge adopted by Lincoln Fire & Rescue and cannot be found within the Essentials of Firefighting Manual.

Additional information found within the supplement will include: LF&R knots, ladder information, hydraulics, special equipment and useful information that will assist personnel in following policy and practice.
