To provide knowledge, skill, and application of current and state of the art training for all Lincoln Fire & Rescue personnel. Effective training utilizing OSHA, NFPA, State and local procedures will instill confidence and continuity promoting a safer and more effective delivery of emergency operations.

Goals

• The Training Division will revise the LFR Annual Performance Evaluation criteria for Firefighters, Firefighter/Paramedics, Fire Apparatus Operators and Fire Captains to include objective training criteria.
• The Training Division will develop a recommendation to be forwarded to Fire Administration on a proposed new Fire Training Facility Site Plan. The plan should include training buildings and grounds to effectively train LFR personnel to meet the LFR mission.
