HISTORY
The
Asian population is the fastest-growing ethnic population in Lincoln,
and now there is a community center to support their needs.
In 1992, under the auspices of the Lincoln Interfaith Council,
organization began for the Asian Community and Cultural Center
and on October 1, 1994, the Center opened its doors at 140 S.
27th Street to the public.
In March 1998, ACCC became an Independent 501 (C) (3) Non Profit
Corporation.
The Asian Community & Cultural Center is a program partially
funded by the Lincoln-Lancaster United Way with the Lincoln Interfaith
Council as our Fiscal Agent.
OUR
MISSION
The
Asian Community and Cultural Center (“ACCC”) is a charitable,
educational and cultural organization created to preserve and
increase public awareness of the rich multicultural heritage of
Asian people. It strives to cultivate harmonious coexistence between
Asians and the community-at-large by building bridges of understanding
between them and by offering all people an opportunity to share
involvement in its socially enriching activities
