WELCOME
This Center is conceived as a community focal point for activities relating to aging. It provides maximum visibility and is readily available to those who need its services or those who have concerns for elderly parents and friends. It provides virtually one-stop service for older persons as offices for them come under one roof.
SERVICES
Transportation: Transportation is provided within a specific boundary area for Center activities. Call the office for details, 441-7158. If you would like to use the van, the charge is only $1.00 each way,($2.00 round trip). Please call 441-7863 the day before you need the van to schedule your pick up time.
Senior Saver StarTran passes (for older adults aged 62 and older) are available for $16.00. For more information call 441-7154.
Commodities: Monthly Commodities are distributed on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. To register call 438-5238, and have them pick up at Downtown ActivAge Center.
Public Access Computers: Located on the second floor and in the lower level. Come in and check your email, surf the web, or catch up with your favorite blogger.
Senior Health Promotion Clinic: Group health screenings (bone density, blood pressure, cholesterol, medication review, and safety checks). Call Lifetime Health for clinic dates and times.
Forever Strong Health Club: A wide range of equipment to assist all ages in finding aerobic fitness, strength training, and toning.
