The 34th Annual Awards Ceremony for the Lincoln Area Agency on Aging RSVP program was held Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Cornhusker Hotel.

Mayor's Award of Excellence

Monday, July 14

Congratulations Joyce Kubicek, LAAA Life Counselor for being selected to receive the Mayor's Award of Excellence for the month of June, 2008 for the categories of Customer Relations and Valor. Mayor Beutler presented Joyce her award at the July 14 City Council meeting. Joyce received a Savings Bond, one day off with pay and a plaque to recognize her outstanding achievement. LifeLong Living Festival

Saturday, May 14

The 14th Annual KFOR and LAAA LifeLong Living Festival was held Saturday, May 14 at the NE State Fair grounds where Mayor Beutler started the day welcoming everyone and ended with approximately 1,800 attendees. KFOR had live broadcasts along with a Health & Wellness Center, Entertainment Stage where the Seniors Foundation Community Service Awards presentations took place, many door prizes and giveaways with over 100 booths where older adults and their families could receive great information to help them live independent and happy lives. LAAA staff and volunteers were busy distributing information about all the available services the Agency has to offer and were very please to share reusable shopping bags to help the environment.
