"I have had the opportunity to work with Harvey Perlman as a State Senator and as Mayor, and I know he is committed to future excellence for the University, the City of Lincoln and the State of Nebraska. He has proven himself as a UNL student, professor, the first director of the Nebraska Crime Commission, law school dean for 15 years and interim chancellor. His appointment as Chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a sign of the exciting times ahead for UNL, our city and our state.
