America came under attack today. This is the worst terrorist attack in our country’s history, far eclipsing the Oklahoma City bombing. This is a national tragedy of epic proportions. The attack on Pearl Harbor and the assassination of President Kennedy are the two national tragedies that could possibly be comparable. The evil perpetrated today is unfathomable. This day too will live in infamy.We recognize that the odds of something happening in Lincoln are very small. Nevertheless, we must take precautions. I’m very proud of our quick response, and the people of Lincoln and Lancaster County can feel safe and secure that we are prepared. We must unite as Americans and lend our help wherever it is needed in our nation.
We must pray for the victims of this horrible act of terrorism. During this dark hour, may God bless America
