9-11 Ride to Remember
|
Mayor Wesely presented a memorial speech to firefighters during the "9 -11 Ride
To Remember" motorcycle event September 16 at the State Capitol. Firefighters
from all over the United States participated in the ride. Firefighters had an
overnight stay in Lincoln as they traveled from Ground Zero in New York to
Colorado to attend the National Fallen Firefighter memorial event.

Campaign Promotes Better Infant Health Through Breastfeeding

"Mother Grows Best: Breastfeeding creates healthy kids" is the slogan for a new
campaign to promote breastfeeding. The City Council Chamber filled with mothers
and babies for the campaign kick-off August 6.
