Mayor Delivers Trees of Love Present
|
Mayor Wesely presented his Trees of Love gift to Madge at Lancaster Manor
Friday, December 13. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program started the
campaign in 1987 to encourage people to provide holiday presents for residents
of nursing homes. The Trees of Love are located at Wells Fargo Banks and are
decorated with ornaments that include the name of the nursing home resident
and several gift ideas. Donors select ornaments, purchase the gifts and
return them to the bank for delivery to the nursing homes. Mayor Wesely
selected an ornament earlier this month. For more information on the Trees
of Love, contact Deb Batten at the Area Agency on Aging at 441-6156.
