“On my first Thanksgiving as Mayor, I am so grateful that we have so many people in this community who share their time and talents in service to others. In particular, I give thanks for the courage of those serving in our military from Lincoln, including the 12 City employees who have been called to active duty over the past two years. We can all take pride in the outstanding service to our country being given by so many from the Lincoln area. It is also important to remember the sacrifices the families of our military personnel make for our country, and we pray their loved ones will be back at home for Thanksgiving next year.”
