A public information meeting on phase two of the East “O” Street construction project will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 in the cafeteria of Eastridge Elementary School, 6245 “L” Street
Representatives from the City Public Works and Utilities Department, The Schemmer Associates and Constructors Inc. will be available to explain the project and to answer questions from the public in an open house setting.
Phase two of the project will widen East “O” from two to three lanes in each direction between Eastridge Drive and Wedgewood Drive and will include work on 66th and 70th streets between “Q” Street on the north and “L” Street on the south. Demolition and reconstruction are scheduled to begin March 17.
Phase one of the project, completed in September, widened East “O” from 52nd Street to Eastridge Drive and included reconstruction on 56th Street and Cotner Boulevard.
