Sunken Gardens Campaign Receives Large Challenge Donation
Mayor Coleen J. Seng and the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation today announced that a $100,000 challenge grant has been received from Harley Bair of Lincoln for the Sunken Gardens capital campaign.
A crowd of supporters attended the news conference at the Sunken Gardens.
Harley Bair addressed the crowd. He is the nephew of E.M. Bair, the Lincoln Park Superintendent who created the Gardens at 27th Street and Capitol Parkway in 1930.
