The fifth annual Patriot Day ceremony to observe the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks was held the evening of September 10 at the Veterans Memorial Garden in Antelope Park. Keith Fickenscher, left, is the Chairman of the Garden' s Advisory Council and was the emcee. Speakers, seated from the left, included Mayor Seng, Lt. Governor Rick Sheehy, Lynn Castrianno of the September 11 Connections Support Group, and U.S. Representative Jeff Fortenberry.

The Lincoln Pipe and Drum Corps performed before the ceremony and also played "Amazing Graze."
