Mayor Beutler announced March 13 that the new park being developed as part of the Antelope Valley Project will be named Union Plaza to recognize a major donation by Union Bank and Trust. Fifth-graders from Elliott Elementary sang a song they wrote called "Look for the Good."

Helping Mayor Beutler unveil the new name was Kevin Keller of Union Bank.

Among those participating in the announcement were Christie Dionisopoulos, Lincoln Parks Foundation; T.J. McDowell, campaign co-chair; Lynn Johnson, Parks and Recreation Director; Roger Larson, campaign co-chair; Patty Pansing Brooks, campaign co-chair; Mike Seacrest, campaign honorary chair; Kevin Keller, Union Bank; former Mayor Don Wesely; Rich Bailey, Vision 2015; Janny Crotty, NU Foundation; former Mayor Coleen Seng; Mayor Beutler; Kent Seacrest, Vision 2015.

A large crowd attended the announcement.
