Mayor's Office
"Lincoln's success in the future is dependent on the progress we make today. From my vantage point as an observer of the Antelope Valley Project for the first eight years and now as Mayor for the last three, Antelope Valley represents progress: protection from flooding, better roads, a signature park and economic growth. It even solved the train issue for those who go to see the Lincoln Stars or Husker basketball.
"In this effort to make progress, most of Antelope Valley was done well, but some of it could have been done better. Leadership demands that we don't abandon progress simply because we can't achieve perfection. Leadership also demands we learn from our Antelope Valley experiences and apply those lessons in building Lincoln's future."
