Residents of Lincoln are invited to apply for a vacancy on the Board of Trustees of Lincoln City Libraries. Those interested in the seven-year term have until Monday, July 2 to submit materials.
Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest and a completed Board Appointment Information form. The Board of Trustees of Lincoln City Libraries is a seven-member administrative board appointed by the Lincoln City Council. It is the trustee's obligation to work toward improvement in library services through well-trained staff and efficient use of funds; to support adequate funding for library services; and to promote the best possible use of all library resources. The mission of Lincoln City Libraries is to foster the power of reading and provide open access to all forms of information to enrich people's lives every day.
After reviewing the applications, the Library Board will forward information from all interested individuals to the City Council along with any recommendations.
