Lincoln City Libraries invites the public to the annual Summer Reading Program Recognition Night at Haymarket Park Sunday, August 12 to celebrate the 75 years of the program. Youth who have completed this year's Summer Reading Program have received vouchers to attend the Saltdogs game against the Gary South Shore Railcats at 5:05 p.m. Their guests may purchase two tickets for the price of one.
The event includes a performance by the String Beans from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. A march around the field is set for 4:30 p.m., and children will have the opportunity to meet Homer the Haymarket Hound as well as some of the Saltdogs players. The first 3,000 attendees will receive a commemorative fan created for the celebration.
