Parks and Recreation staff have delayed this afternoon's prescribed burn due to air quality, and it has been rescheduled for the afternoon of Friday, April 27. The area to be burned is an 18-acre section of the Prairie Corridor on Haines Branch just south and southwest of Denton.
The controlled burn may be postponed again depending on weather conditions and air quality. Land managers monitor weather and air quality conditions to ensure safe burns.
