Nature Center Prairie Run is November 3

Event benefits tallgrass prairie management

The Pioneers Park Nature Center invites runners of all ages to participate in the annual Prairie Run, Saturday, November 3. The run starts at 9 a.m. at the Nature Center, 3201 S. Coddington Ave. and features hills and challenging terrain on 1 mile and 5K routes. Registration is required by November 2, and participants can sign up at getmeregistered.com (search: Prairie Run).

The fee is $12 for ages 12 and under and $25 for ages 13 and over. All proceeds will support Nature Center land management and prairie restoration projects. All participants will receive a Nature Center hat and be entered into a drawing for prizes from local businesses and organizations including Lower Platte South Natural Resources District, Nebraska History Museum, Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center, Lincoln Children's Museum, Indigo Bridge Books, University of Nebraska State Museum-Morrill Hall, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Lincoln Running Company and K&D's Honey Bees.
