Fee: $12 per person

Welcome to the 2008 Ager Junior Golf Leagues. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for participating in past years, and say HELLO to all that are joining us for the first time! This will be our 12th year conducting the leagues and our largest ever, so sign-up early. League play will begin the week of Monday, June 9th.

KICK OFF DAY will be Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. All league players will be required to attend. KICKOFF DAY serves as an orientation for the leagues and gives us a chance to explain the program, its format, and rules. A handout detailing this meeting will also be available. Allow 30-45 minutes for your KICK OFF DAY. After orientation there will be a fun 3 person best ball tournament for the kids so bring your clubs and 7 dollars for green fees and entry.

NEW FOR 2008

• Peewee league for juniors 7-9 who don't feel comfortable playing with older kids. However, 7-9 year olds are able to play in the older junior league, just check the older league box and not the Peewee box. Peewee leagues are limited to first 40 golfers.
• Thursday evening league (limit to first 40 peewees and first 52 juniors)
• Purchase of a range punch card allows a junior to get 10 small buckets of balls for 15 dollars saving you 5 dollars.
• Adult Youth League will be held on Wednesday Evenings starting at 5:00 and will be limited to the first 24 teams.

LEAGUE DAYS AND TIMES:

• Monday's Peewee League starts at 9:00 and Junior League starts at 10:00
• Tuesday's Peewee League starts at 12:00 and Junior League starts at 1:00
• Wednesday's Junior League Starts at 9:00 and Adult Youth League starts at 5:00
• Thursday's Evening Peewee Leagues starts at 4:00 and Junior League starts at 5:00
• Friday's Peewee league starts at 9:00 and Junior League starts at 10:00

COSTS

• Each player is required to pay a green fee ($5 per 9) every day they attend league.
• JUNIOR UNLIMITED memberships (ages: 7-12, no daily green fees) are available for $110.
• TEEN UNLIMITED memberships (ages: 13-17or still in High School, no daily green fees) good at all five city courses are available for $170.
• The $12 league fee allows you to play in more than one league, if you'd like to.
• Adults will be required to pay a 12 dollar league fee along with 7 dollars a week for green fees.

FORMAT:

All leagues will be two-person teams, with your team playing a different team each week. You can sign up with a friend as your partner or you can be assigned one by the league. Points will be awarded for:

• 1 point for each team member who shows up
• 1 point for low scratch team score
• 1 point for low handicap team score
• 1 point for team whose A golfer beats the other teams A golfer
• 1 point for team whose B golfer beats the other teams B golfer
• A and B golfers are decided by handicaps so lowest verse other teams lowest.
• In the adult youth league the adult faces the adult and the youth faces the youth

HANDICAPS:

Handicaps will be issued to everyone and will be adjusted weekly to allow for fair competition.

• We ask that you turn in at least three (3) nine-hole scores one week before play begins to establish an opening handicap. A Junior League Scorecard will be provided and these will be used for your qualifying rounds and all league play.
• If you're going to miss a day of league, Substitute Rounds will be allowed and should be turned in BEFORE you leave.
• Substitute Rounds should be recorded on a Junior League Scorecard and must include your first and last name printed, the day you normally play on, and the date you are making up for.

YEAR-END EVENTS AND OTHER TOURNAMENTS:

• There will be no regular league play Monday through Thursday (7/7/2008 through 7/10/2008) to accommodate the playing of the Lincoln Association of Underwriters Junior Golf Championships. This outstanding junior tournament has been played annually at Ager since 1966. I would encourage everyone to enter. It's FREE. Watch for entry information later this summer.
• Friday, August 22nd at 6:00 p.m. is the time for our year-end PRIZES & AWARDS PIZZA PARTY. Don't miss it! FREE pizza and pop! Prizes and Junior League awards will also be presented.
• Other Tournaments
  1. The Youth/Adult Tournament, Saturday and Sunday, August 16th - 17th
  2. The Cornhusker State Games, Saturday and Sunday, July 19th - 20th
  3. The Life Underwriters Junior Event, Monday - Thursday July 7th - July 10th
  4. Bring a Friend and Beat the Pro Day for league golfers Saturday, June 21st
  5. First Annual Junior Best Ball and Scramble Tournament Saturday and Sunday July 26th and 27th
