City of Lincoln Parks & Recreation - Community Forestry/Horticulture Landscape Planting On City Right-Of-Way

Applies to area between the curb and sidewalk, or within 12' of the curb if no sidewalk exists.

Shrubs, perennial and annual flowering plants, ornamental grasses, and ground covers are permitted.

Such landscape plants shall be maintained to have a maximum height of no more than thirty (30") inches above the height of the adjoining curb.

Such landscape plants shall also be maintained so that they do not extend over curbs, sidewalks, driveways, or alleys.

LMC 12-020-070 shall apply to such landscape plantings.
