    • We are located at 1225 F Street, Lincoln, NE 68508.
  2. Who provides Funding?
    • Funds were awarded to the City of Lincoln for the Star City Treasures Project. Lincoln Parks and Recreation offers recreation programs and leisure opportunities for low-income and culturally diverse populations through recreation centers, swimming pools, day camps and special events. Its mission is to provide recreational opportunities and natural green spaces for all residents and visitors of the City of Lincoln.
  3. Who are the Members?
    • The Star City Treasures Project Members represent all walks of life. They are a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, skills, experience, interests, and education. By serving with an AmeriCorps program they have the opportunity to help others, work with people from other cultures, gain employment and other personal growth opportunities, learn new skills, and be part of a team that is helping to improve the community's inner-city neighborhoods. Their dedication gives them a chance to give back to people of Lincoln and create meaningful and significant change in the lives of others.
  4. What is the job of a Member?
    • The Star City Treasures Project currently has 19 AmeriCorps members Members provide direct service to children, adults and families to enhance social, recreational and educational skills. Many members bring their own interests and skills with them and develop programming to share with participants.

  6. How long is a Members term?
    • A terms of service runs from Sept. 1 - Aug. 31 of any given year. Recruitment begins in late spring and through out the summer.
