| This library building was one of five in Lincoln and surrounding towns (that became parts of Lincoln) constructed with the financial assistance of Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie grants included specifications that resulted in similarities among many of these libraries, but local architects also gave each its own unique characteristics. Lincoln architect John G. Cordner prepared the Neo-classic Revival design for this buff brick and limestone library that served the town of College View from the corner of the Union College campus. | |
