The Lincoln Police Department has begun its Red Light Running Campaign aimed at decreasing the number of drivers who run red lights in the city. The project will begin June 13th and run for two weeks through June 24th, 2005.

This project is being funded by a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety which will provide extra enforcement by officers. The officers will be targeting busy intersections and those that have a higher rate of accidents, although a reminder that we could be at any intersection at any given time.
