The Lincoln Police Department conducted its “back to school” traffic selective project August 29th through September 9th, 2005. This project, funded by a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety, was conducted during the first two weeks of school. The funding provided for additional officers to be placed in school zones to enforce the flashing 25 m.p.h. speed limit. The Lincoln Police Department issued the following citations during the two week project.
