Officers have arrested two Lincoln teens that are responsible for 46 separate cases of vandalism in Lincoln over the past three weeks. A vehicle stop in the early morning hours of October 3rd in Southeast Lincoln, developed the two teens, ages 14 and 15 as suspects in a string of vandalisms over the weekend where windows were broken out of cars and Lux Middle School. The vehicle that officers stopped had baseball bats in the back seat as well as some glass in the vehicle. Two School Resource Officers continued working on these cases and were able to determine that the two teens were responsible for 43 vandalisms to cars on several separate dates since mid-September in the area of 56th to 84th Street/ Pioneers to A Street. Baseball bats or rocks were used to shatter windows to vehicles as well as some tire and roof slashings. The teens are also responsible for three separate vandalisms at Lux Middle School as well as the vehicle vandalisms; total damage amount for all of these incidents is about $8000.00. Both teens were arrested on October 4th and lodged in the Youth Detention Center on felony vandalism.
