The Lincoln Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit joined in a nationwide “Click it or Ticket” Enforcement effort that began on Monday November 20th and went through Sunday, November 26th, 2006. Special attention by law enforcement officers was directed to those motorists who failed to buckle up themselves, their passengers and children.

The Lincoln Police Department issued the following citations during the enforcement project:

Traffic Signal Citations - 12
Restraint Violations – Officials - 231
Restraint Violations – Warnings - 44
Child Restraint Violations - 3
No Insurance - 110
Improper Registration - 51
Other Traffic Violations - 175
Suspended Drivers - 18
Warrants - 7
Criminal Arrests/Citations - 11
