On October 4th, 2007 medical responded to a call at 3601 Baldwin #3 at about 6:50 p.m. James Girmscheid, age 75, was located at the apartment, unconscious with a head injury. Mr. Girmscheid was transported to Bryan LGH East and treated for his head injuries but died the next day. An autopsy revealed that James Girmscheid died from blunt force trauma to his head due to a fall. Jeanette Hoer, age 42, and another woman were present in the apartment at the time of the incident. Investigators were able to determine that Jeanette Hoer and James Girmscheid were arguing just prior to the incident and Hoer pushed Girmscheid, causing him to lose his balance and fall backwards, striking his head on a wood table. Jeanette Hoer was arrested for Manslaughter on November 4th 2007 at about 4:30 p.m.
