The Lincoln Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that occurred this morning, April 3rd, at TierOne Bank, 3939 Normal Blvd. Two suspects entered the bank at 9:39 a.m. One suspect, who was armed with a handgun, controlled the lobby area of the bank and had the five employees and one customer get down on the floor. The other suspect who was also armed with a handgun removed money from teller drawers. Both suspects were in the bank for less than a minute and left in a Blue Olds Sierra that was located a short time later, abandoned, in the area of 40th & VanDorn. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Omaha prior to the robbery. The suspects have not been located at this time and are described as follows: Suspect #1 – male, 5’9” to 6’ tall, slender build, last wearing a black jacket, black ski mask, blue bandanna, black gloves, tan pants and white tennis shoes. Suspect #2 – male, 5’9” to 6’ tall, slender build, black jacket, black ski mask and black style wind pants.
