The Lincoln Police Department’s SWAT Team has benefited as the result of a generous donation from Windstream Communication. Windstream’s ‘Green Truck Tour’ Public Safety Program has donated $4500.00 to the Lincoln Police Department’s SWAT Team for tactical entry vests.

The Lincoln Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team consists of thirteen team members plus a team commander with the mission of responding to high-risk situations requiring specialized tactics and coordination. The last entry vests that were purchased for the team were purchased many years ago and an upgrade has been needed for quite some time. The police department and all members of the SWAT team are extremely appreciative to Windstream Communications for their donation.
