Nebraska Office of Highway Safety Grant ends in Northeast Lincoln

A grant, funded by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety used to increase DWI detection and arrests in Northeast Lincoln, has recently come to an end. The project ran from November 1, 2007 to January 1, 2008. The Northeast Team, headed by Captain Doug Srb, provided the following results of the project:

18 DWI enforcement sets were conducted
276 combined official and warning citations issued
11 DWI arrests by grant funded officers
Team DWI arrests increased 27.5% over the same period a year ago, to 46 arrests
