Arrest Made in Recent Sexual Assaults
On May 12, 2009, Lincoln Police arrested Armon Dixon for two counts each of Robbery, Sexual Assault and Kidnapping. Evidence has led us to determine that he is responsible for the March 21, 2009 Robbery and Sexual Assault that occurred at Casey's General Store, 5500 Superior Street, and for the Sexual Assault on April 24, 2009 at an apartment near 3100 North Hill Road. We are still investigating to determine whether he is responsible for additional crimes.
During Armon Dixon's interview yesterday at Lincoln Police Department Headquarters, 575 S 10th Street, he attempted to escape by grabbing an investigators handgun. A struggle ensued and Armon was again taken in to custody. Armon sustained minor injuries that were treated at a local hospital. As a result of that, he was arrested for Attempted Escape, 3rd degree Assault on an Officer and Attempted 1st degree Assault.
