Additional Citations Issued to Joseph Ballard
The Lincoln Police Department continues to investigate allegations of sexual assault involving Joseph Ballard. Ballard was arrested on February 18, 2010 for 1st degree Sexual Assault and 1st degree Sexual Assault of a Child after a 19 year old man reported that he had been assaulted by Ballard from 2001 - 2007. At that time, only one victim had been indentified. Since then, additional victims have come forward.
On March 1, 2010, Ballard was issued two citations for 3rd degree Sexual Assault of a Child. Both male victims were 12 years old when they were inappropriately fondled by Ballard. These incidents occurred in 2008, during overnight stays at Ballard’s residence.
Joseph Ballard has been in custody since his February 18th arrest. These latest citations were issued to him at the jail. The investigation remains active. Anyone with additional information or concern is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 441-7204 and speak with an investigator.
