Suspicious Death Investigation
On Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 12:39 p.m., the Lincoln Police Department was dispatched to a disturbance in Contempo Lincoln Mobile Home Park. The caller described a male breaking the windows of his own vehicle. When officers arrived, they contacted 44-year-old Trenton W. Reiner in a nearby commons area. During the investigation, officers discovered a deceased adult male with obvious signs of trauma inside Trenton's residence, 3623 Northwest Magnolia Court.
Trenton Reiner was arrested for 1st degree Murder and lodged at the Lancaster County Jail. Lancaster County Attorney Joe Kelly advised Reiner will be held for a bond hearing today, Friday, May 27, 2016; however, the arraignment is not scheduled until Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
We do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. Crime scene technicians are still at the residence, analyzing and collecting evidence. We are working to confirm the identity of the deceased male and notify his family. An autopsy is scheduled for today. The investigation is in the preliminary phases and follow-up is continuing.
