Northwest Team Underage Drinking Project Results
In an effort to impact illegal behavior on University of Nebraska-Lincoln home football Saturdays, the Lincoln Police Department's Northwest Team coordinated an underage drinking project to coincide with the return of school and the football season. Funding for the increased enforcement was provided by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
During the last four home football games, October 1 - November 19, 2016, extra officers were utilized to impact underage drinking along with other illegal activity around Memorial Stadium prior to the kick-off of each game. Their efforts resulted in the following citations:

The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety also provided funding for the initial phase of this project. During the first three home football games, officers saturated the North Bottoms neighborhood with similar efforts to reduce binge drinking and alcohol related offenses.
