More Ways to Save Green!
- Don't drive so fast.
- Driving 55 mph instead of 65 mph can improve your gas mileage by 15 percent and reduce emissions considerably. You'll get better mileage if you avoid quick starts and sudden braking and keep proper air pressure in your tires.
- Adjust your water heater.
- Setting your water heater at 120 degrees or lower could save you more than $20 a year if you have a gas hot water heater and $50 with an electric water heater.
- Think Before You Print.
- Save ink and paper by checking to see if you really need a printed copy of a particular document before hitting the print button. Still think you need it? Check out the econo mode on your printer. It uses less ink and you may use fewer cartridges.
