MISSION
To identify, recommend and coordinate information technology standards, develop implementation plans, acquire, install and maintain the resources for information technologies that will most efficiently and cost effectively meet and improve the needs of Engineering Services and other Public Works/Utilities Divisions. Services include records management, subdivision/construction drawing review, computer hardware support, software support and development, data backup, and restore services.
VISION
Over the next several years, CEIS foresees rapidly advancing technologies, growing work volumes, high user expectations, escalating demands, limited resources, and increased emphasis on direct public access to City information. CEIS will continue to seek and embrace new technologies, promote employee training and professional development, focus on long term planning, and invest in cost-effective technical solutions that bring accurate, timely information and services to the customer.
