- Before stepping off the curb, students should make sure all traffic is slowing down to a stop and that cars are not turning into the crosswalk.
- Weather conditions can affect crosswalk safety. On sunny days, glare can make it hard for drivers to see pedestrians. On snowy and icy streets, allow more time for cars to stop.
