- Be waiting when the school bus arrives so you don't have to run to catch the bus.
- Stand back from the curb when waiting for a bus.
- After getting off the bus, never cross the street behind the bus.
- If you cross a street in front of a stopped bus, make sure you are at least ten feet in front of the bus where the driver can see you.
- Make sure you don't step out into traffic, from the front of a stopped bus.
- Never run into the street from between buses or cars. Cross streets only when it is safe.
- If you drop something, never reach or go under the bus to get it. Ask the bus driver to help you.
