Northwest 56th and West Adams Street Improvement Project
Construction Update - October 8, 2008
Construction is progressing on the NW 56th Street and West Adams Improvement Project. Installation of a replacement water main on the north side of W Adams from NW 48th to NW 56th will begin in Nobember. The water main construction is anticipated to be complete in February 2009 barring weather or unforeseen conditions.
General Construction Information
The City of Lincoln has awarded construction of the NW 56th and West Adams Streets Improvements Project to Dobson Brothers Construction. The construction activities are scheduled to begin in July of 2008 with completion in September of 2009.
There are three main phases of construction for this project:
- Phase 1: NW 56th Street from Partridge to West Adams, including grading in West Adams east and west of NW 56th Street
- Phase 2: West Adams from NW 48th Street west about 650-feet
- Phase 3: West Adams from the end of Phase 2 to NW 59th Street, including completion of the NW 56th/West Adams intersection
Construction may be going on concurrently between phases, but care will be taken to ensure residents adequate access in and out of the neighboring areas.
