2013 Citywide Street Rehabilitation

The City of Lincoln is proposing to mill and overlay the following street sections:
- Capitol Parkway; South 21st Street to South 33rd Street
- Cotner Boulevard; Fairfax Avenue to Leighton Avenue
- Cotner Boulevard; Leighton Avenue to Adams Street
- Havelock Avenue; Touzalin Avenue to North 72nd Street
- North 45th Street; "R" Street to Vine Street
- Old Cheney Road; South 14th Street to South 18th Street
- Rosa Parks Way; Highway 77 to South 1st Street
- South 13th Street; Calvert Street to High Street
- South 17th Street; South Street to "A" Street
- South 17th Street; Van Dorn Street to South Street
- South 40th Street; Pinewood Lane to Old Cheney Road (Northbound Only)
- South 40th Street; South Street to "A" Street
- South 56th Street; Highway 2 to 5200 South 56th Street
- South 56th Street; Vavak Place to Spruce Street
The City of Lincoln is proposing to mill and overlay the above street sections. The existing pavement will be milled 2" and overlaid with 2" of asphalt. Sub-standard ADA facilities (i.e. curb ramps and truncated domes) will be reconstructed to meet minimum requirements at all intersections. The segments on 17th Street; South to "A" Street and Rosa Parks Way; Highway 77 to South 1st Street also include concrete base repair. The segment on 40th Street; South to "A" Street will also include widening two feet. Detours will be needed for Havelock Avenue; Touzalin to 72nd Street, 40th Street; South to "A" Street, 17th Street; South to "A" Street and Cotner Boulevard; Fairfax to Adams Street. All other locations will be completed under traffic. The City will work with local businesses regarding access during construction. Access to local residences may be restricted at times.
These projects are currently in the design stage and are tentatively scheduled for construction starting in 2013.
