Open House on Three Southwest Lincoln Projects Set for May 3

The public is invited to an open house on three projects planned for southwest Lincoln from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3 at Roper Elementary School, 2323 South Coddington Avenue. Those attending should use the north gym entrance.

The three projects are the South Coddington Avenue roadway design, the West 'A' Street roadway design and the Southwest 40^th Street viaduct.

At the open house, the current design plans for the two roadway projects will be available. The design work is about 60 percent completed, but efforts are being put on hold until the City obtains funding for right of way acquisition and construction.

Information on the viaduct project also will be available at the open house. Design work on this project is expected to be completed in 2007.

Staff from the City Public Works and Utilities Department and from the consulting engineers will be available during the open house to take comments and answer questions.
